Lights are the most commonly used backlight source in LCDs. In the industrial application field, the lifespan of CCF backlight is generally at least 50000 hours, or the time when the brightness drops by half compared to new ones. In many consumer applications, it only takes 10000 hours for the brightness of the backlight to drop to half of its initial brightness.
Due to the fact that consumer applications do not require continuous operation of the monitor, a lifespan of 10000 hours for CCF backlight is sufficient, but this is not the case in most industrial and medical applications. The lifespan of backlight is very low compared to that of LCD. People are striving to double the lifespan of backlights, but in most industrial applications, a minimum lifespan of 50000 hours is considered the lifespan standard for CCF backlights.
